1st Asia Spellbreak Community (ASC) SOLO tournament (A LEAGUE, B LEAGUE) June 8 (Sat) 22 00 JST, 21 00 HKT/SGT/AWST, 23 00 AEST, 13 00 GMT See the Player List here To enter, join the ASC discord here. https //discord.gg/mmn5NgR 日本語版 ASC Solo Tournament -A LEAGUE- High level open tournament for the top players on the Asia server Players that participant in A LEAGUE are not allowed to enter B LEAGUE ASC Solo Tournament -B LEAGUE- Held at the same time as A LEAGUE (specifically, each game is started immediately after a A LEAGUE game, this is to help reduce the number of top players in the B LEAGUE lobby) This is a tournament that anyone can join and enjoy, even beginners Players that place 1st in B LEAGUE two times within 6 months (or win twice consecutively) must enter A LEAGUE (this means not just getting a victory, but the player that wins overall on the night). Players that participant in A LEAGUE are not allowed to enter B LEAGUE Tournament Outline Held on the Asia server. Played in SOLO mode. The tournament consists of 3 rounds. The player with the most points after all 3 rounds is declared the winner. For players in A LEAGUE, the top 4 Japanese players are given the "Heavenly King" role on the SPELL BREAK (JP) discord server. All players in A LEAGUE are given the "Battle Mage" role on the SPELL BREAK (JP) discord server. All players in B LEAGUE are given the "Mage" role on the SPELL BREAK (JP) discord server. Tournament Rules General - Turn streamer mode off. - Team Leaders must be in the ready room (ALEAGUE voice chat or BLEAGUE voice chat) with the referees/organizers 5 mins before the event starts. - Players enter the lobby on the signal from the referees/organizers and check the number of players in the lobby. After confirming that all players are in the lobby, players leave the voice chat and play in the match. - Players rejoin the ready room (ALEAGUE voice chat or BLEAGUE voice chat) once they have uploaded their screenshots. - If you have an issue with anything. Please DM it to the Event Hosts. - If you are getting killed denied, please provide definite proof that it happened in that very game which happened. - If you are streaming the event, please put on a 3 minute delay. This is to prevent stream-sniping. - If you are streaming the event, please mention us in the title of your stream. *Example "Starscream | #1 Spellbreak Player | Streaming SIL Solos tournament |" * - No game resets will be conducted for any reason. If Spellbreak crashes during the match, you will get no points for that match. Screenshots - You must take and submit your own screenshots of the end-game screen. - Do not crop screenshots. - No phone screenshots allowed. - If your screenshots show multiple monitors or need to use your phone, download "Greenshot" and use that instead (can use Lightshot if you prefer). - You MUST post your screenshot after each defeat/victory. Ryota Matsumoto is one of the most prominent philosophers of postdigital theory and visual artist known for the hybrid art. He is a principal and founder of an award-winning interdisciplinary design office, Ryota Matsumoto Studio based in New York and Tokyo. Biography Born in Tokyo, he was raised in Hong Kong and Japan. He received a Master of Architecture degree from University of Pennsylvania in 2007 after his studies at Architectural Association in London and Mackintosh School of Architecture, Glasgow School of Art in early 90’s. Matsumoto has previously collaborated with a cofounder of the Metabolist Movement, Kisho Kurokawa, and with Arata Isozaki, Peter Christopherson, Cesar Pelli and MIT Media Lab before establishing his office. As a designer and consultant of Nihon Seikei Inc. and Japanese railway, he has worked on high-profile projects including Kyushu University Ito Campus masterplan(2003-2005), Shinjuku redevelopment project in Tokyo(2009-2012), Bach Mai hospital in Hanoi(2000) and Qingdao mixed-use development in China(2011). He has presented his work on posthumanism, digital design and bio art at the 5th symposium of the Imaginaries of the Future at Cornell University, the Espaciocenter workshop at TEA Tenerife Espacio de las Artes, Oslo National Academy of the Arts, UCI Claire Trevor School of the Arts and NTT InterCommunication Center as a visual artist. As a video producer, he has worked with Peter Christopherson for Japanese Nike commercial and contributed to the promotional projects for his first solo album as Threshold Houseboys Choir. His academic career started as a teaching assistant for architectural historian, Vincent Joseph Scully Jr. and his seminar, the Natural and Manmade in 1993. During his visiting fellowship at the Glasgow school of Art, he has been engaged in research on the process of integrated urban regeneration under the guidance of Giancarlo De Carlo and Isi Metzstein. He continued his pursuit in urban studies and participated in seminal research projects with MIT Media Lab and KieranTimberlake exploring high-rise modular housing, sustainability and design interventions for Dhaka, Bangladesh in 2005. He has served as an MFA advisor of Transart institute, University of Plymouth and teaches at Asagaya Institute of Art and Design as a professor of practice. He is a research associate at the New Centre of Research Practice found by Mohammad Salemy, Jason Adams and Reza Negarestani.
